LinkPoint VirtualCheck is a value-added enhancement to First Data Global Gateway API, First Data Global Gateway Connect and Virtual LinkPoint, which allows merchants to accept and process electronic check payments using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. LinkPoint VirtualCheck transactions are captured through the First Data Global Gateway, and check batches are automatically presented for settlement each day. The check processing system debits the customer's checking account via the automated clearing house (ACH) and then transfers the funds to the merchant's direct deposit account.
